| Morris' Fibre - Combed (first shearing) |
This fibre is a warm rich brown colour. The photo shows a sample of combed fibre (unwashed) from Morris. This is from his first shearing so it is classed as baby alpaca. There is some crimp in the fibre, and it is about 3-4 inches in length.
The colour of this fibre ranges from a rich brown to a slightly reddish brown at the tips. The deeper colours are from nearer the body, the ends of the fibre are bleached by exposure to the sun.
