Llanwenog wool
We have commercially-spun 3-ply aran weight wool from our own flock of Llanwenog sheep for sale. It is available in 200g hanks, oiled or washed. The colour is a natural off-white.

* The oil is added to the yarn as part of the processing to make it easier to handle. It has a slightly 'sheepy' smell but you can knit with it quite successfully, washing your finished work. For preference, however, I prefer to wash the wool first.
Llanwenog fleece
If you would like to purchase a Llanwenog fleece, please contact us. Our sheep are normally sheared between May and the end of June. We use a professional shearer who aims to keep second cuts to the absolute minimum. Fleeces weigh around 2kg and will be skirted before being sent so that you get the best part of the fleece with the minimum cost of postage.
Please contact use if you are interested in buying a fleece.
Please be aware of the possible health issues concerning working with unprocessed sheep's fleece. If you use a fleece 'in the grease' it is assumed that you are aware of these concerns and accept the risk. We do not sell fleece from any sheep with a known problem.
